PECULIARITIES OF SOCIAL FUNCTIONING IN INDIVIDUALS WITH ARTICULATION DISORDERS

Abstract

 The article is dedicated to the idea that people use their speaking skills and language abilities not only to exchange verbal information in the communication process, but also to find and express their place in the social area and express their personality. From the perspective of social psychology, and sociolinguistics is presented a model of social nature of speech and its interaction with: self-esteem, identity, social ability, success in formal and informal communicative situations and professional realization. Specific articulation disorders are discussed as a factor that leads to changes in the social, emotional and school functioning.
